Constant Velocity Joint Rebuilding Grinding Wheels
Available from Dianamic Abrasive Products, Inc.
In 1990 DIANAMIC® was approached by Mr. Rollo Garrison of Oliver Instrument Company of Adrian Michigan who was developing the first commercial CV Joint Grinding machine for the automotive parts rebuilders industry. DIANAMIC was asked to manufacture cBN grinding wheels for testing, and it soon became apparent that the Oliver design and the cBN grinding wheels by Dianamic were just what the rebuilder market needed.
In 1992, DIANAMIC re-engineered the original Oliver ball / quill design to make the first commercial mountable ball / bit cBN grinding wheel to be used for CV Joint Rebuilding. Our design cut the cost from $235.00 each to the current $15.00 each.
In 2000, DIANAMIC applied for a US Patent for a new carbide quill that accepts the Oliver style ball and substitutes the design for screw on bits as a replacement for worn parts. Our patent lowers the rebuilders’ average cost of $25.00 each for a screw on bit to $15.00 for the Oliver style ball.
DIANAMIC continues to lead with the first e-commerce on line ordering facility where CV Joint rebuilders can order their cBN grinding wheels and bits.
