The 2MW class OP16 engine exhibits high efficiency, low emissions combustion and multi-fuel capability and is unique in its power range. ALL RADIAL CONFIGURATION: Allows for exceptional robustness + performance compared to conventional axial turbines. The all radial turbine rotor is sophisticated simplicity at its best, resulting in high reliability. The unique configuration, efficient flow path and advanced metalurgy results in a compact gas turbine suitable for harsh conditions. HIGEST EFFICIENCY IN POWER RANGE: When used in CHP systems, overall thermal efficiency of 90% can be achieved.The compact rotor allows for a small generator set footprint + reduced installation requirements.FUEL FLEXIBILITY: Runs equally well on liquid/gaseous fuels and can be switched under full load. Runs well on low calorific value fuels such as biofuel. CANTILEVERED ROTOR SYSTEM: Places both bearings in the cold part of the engine resulting in extended bearing life and virtually zero oil consumption. LOW EMISSIONS: Advanced combustion technology guarantees Nox exhaust levels of 25ppm or less. With optional equipment, even lower levels. MODERATE PRESSURE RATIO: Pressure ratio of 6.7:1 reduces the requirement for gas fuel boost compressors compared to other gas turbines. ECONOMICAL GENERATOR SET: High fuel efficiency, compact installation + reliability, allows for low installation and operating costs. The OP16 powered generator sets are provided in configurations to meet specific customer needs.
